[NO SPOILERS] Does Life is Strange really require a video game controller?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2019 04:14 AM PDT

Bought Life is Strange 1 on Steam. The first thing the game showed me:

Experience is enhanced when using a video game controller

Is this really the case? What's the difference between a gamepad and a keyboard&mouse?

What will I miss if I play with keyboard&mouse?

I guess gamepad vs keyboard&mouse probably mainly affects running speed, is this the case? How important is this?

Im just trying to figure if I should go to shop and buy a gamepad or if I shoud ignore this message :)

[ALL] What might LiS3 be like based on LiS1-2 progression?

    Posted: 19 Oct 2019 08:43 PM PDT

Based on the progression of LiS1 to LiS2, what might LiS3 be like?

Perhaps there's a guy in a desert with a pet rock, and we see the 'relationship' develop from him liking the rock to liking the rock a bit more (this is super meaningful). On the journey he meets a snake which he can't talk to, but the snake can fly for half an episode (an interesting power mechanic, right). Other than that there's fifty side characters you meet, but only for five minutes each.

The plot is he's walking to find a big sand dune to lay on, and that's important to the player for no reason. But unexpectedly there's an episode of watching paint dry for an hour, and that's wonderful because not being able to predict what will happen next is a good thing.

Obviously this will be great because the graphics will be better, and that's the only thing everyone can agree that matters.

How could a franchise develop any better than this?
