    #JourneysEnd is a coordinated (by Square Enix) global playthrough of Episodes 1 to 4, as well as The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit. Everyone is invited to play, stream, and cry again.

    These replay discussion posts will be a little bit different than an episode release:

    • Spoilers for all Life Is Strange games are allowed
    • Discussion posts will stay up for way shorter
    • Most of us will probably have played the episode already

    To kick off the #JourneysEnd event, we're replaying Life Is Strange 2: Episode 1 - Road!

    Playing the episode again, and knowing what happens in later episodes...

    [S1 E3] Just completed episode 3, and the ending kinda shook me

    So until now,the game was still bearable .Like besides Kate's suicide and Max's internal monologue about her past, nothing was too emotional for me.But towards the end of episode 3,shit got dark real quick

    The ending segment where we are supposed to rewind the past to save Chloe's dad and hence produce a massive change in time and space was literally mind-blowing and daunting.When I come to think of it,the fact that If William was alive,then in the future,Chloe would be crippled and wheel chaired is so scary and creepy.Added to that,the fact that at he start of the episode,Max and chloe stole money from the handicapped fund adds even more fear and foreshadowing towards this catastrophe! The realisation that this blue haired hot chic can be reduced to such a state in another timeline sends chills down my spine

    The dead whales washed up on Arcadia bay,Max being a part of the vortex club,the look on Max's face when see comes to know of this fate of Chloe and to top it all off,the creepy smile which a brunette Chloe sends off into max's direction towards the end of the episode just turns on the alarms for me!

    I am genuinely scared by the ending and I'm literally getting goosebumps as I write this down here and imagine all of this in my head for a second.My heart is full of trepidation and the power of time and the consequences of messing with it astonishes me!

    This game has moved a delicate vein of my heart and I want to express my sincerest gratitude towards dontnod entertainment for creating such a masterpiece and allowing a simple college student like me to experience such euphoria! Even though I'm a bit scared now and know something even worse is gonna happen in episode 4 and 5,I legit can't wait for the elation!

    Thank you for taking out the time to read this! I don't have friends with whom I can discuss such things and so this is the only place where I can express what I feel without feeling like a loner! I love this game and Max and chloe!

    Let me know what you guys felt when you completed this episode! And pls no spoilers as I am yet to complete the game(gonna start episode 4 soon)

    So I remember reading a fanfic where there is no storm, Rachel is alive and Jefferson isn't evil. There's also this bit where Jefferson is interrogating max about her photograph, but then Rachel swipes her leg against Jefferson distracting him and saving max.

    Does anyone know this fic? I forgot the name.

    [S2] Is it weird that I don't care for Karen?

    The game seems to want me to sympathize with her, or at least, want me to see the side of her story. But honestly I just can't like her.

    When your reason can be summed up as "I was bored as a housewife" after having two kids, one of them being an actual infant. I'm sorry, you're not getting sympathy from me.

    What makes it worse isn't only that she is a deadbeat mom, but the fact that she never acknowledges that it was wrong, she goes "Agree to disagree" and "I get you're upset".

    I get that they're trying to send a message about independence, but independence doesn't equal irresponsibility. Karen is irresponsible.

    [S1] Is there a fan fiction that tries to cover both endings?

    I was wondering if there's a fanfic out there that continues with Max and tries to cover both endings. An idea being that both ending timelines will intersect (Chloe passes away due to lung cancer or something since she's a smoker in the save Chloe ending). Now we have Max without Chloe in both cases. Then a story example would be Max's powers has developed into something greater or she meets a new character with some weird power and maybe we see Chloe again.
