[ALL] I just realized why DONTNOD went for the "roadtrip" approach

(Sorry if someone already figured that out)

A lot of people say their major complaint about Life is Strange 2 is that you don't have time to develop and get attached to the characters you meet along the way.

Well, here's the reason why it is like this; it's not a storytelling reason, but rather a practical one :

They don't have to take your choices into account, from one episode to the other.

Sure you can have some throwaway lines here and there, but really that's it, you won't get to see what impact your choices had until the very end of the game. The first LIS game was subject to cricticism because your choices didn't matter that much except for a few ones, so here, there are probably going to be more of them, but you only get to see the consequences at the end of episode 5 !

It's a smart illusion, branching storytelling is a huge mess and requires a lot of work, so they chose to do something easier. You thought you could get away with it DONTNOD huh ? I can read you like an open book !

I played through episode 1-3 and deleted them off my xbox a month or two ago. I just downloaded LiS S2 ep3 today and it's not showing up in my games. Do i need the other episodes downloaded to be able to play episode 4?

[NO SPOILERS] Life is Strange comics issue #1 physical copy?

    Posted: 20 Nov 2019 07:43 PM PST

Hey does anyone know where I can find a physical copy of the first issue of the life is strange comics?

I want to get it as a gift for someone (gonna start with just the first one to see if they like it), but when I look online all I can find are digital copies. Are there physical ones anywhere? Thanks for any help!

Edit: also what is the difference between volume #1 and issue #1? I see both when I look online. Is volume #1 like a collection of of the earlier issues?
