[NO SPOILERS] Chloe's smile....puts a smile on my face!!!

    Posted: 09 Dec 2019 02:39 AM PST

[S2 E5] It’s been almost a week since episode 5 came out and I’m still depressed.

    Posted: 09 Dec 2019 11:34 AM PST

I don't know why, but this game and it's endings are affecting me way more than they should. When I finished episode 5 last week I cried for like 30 minutes afterwards and ever since then I have not been able to stop thinking about the game in general. I also cried a few more times after that as well. With LiS1 it was pretty much the same except my sadness was mixed in with disappointment as I really did not like it's final episode.

The ending that is gutting me the most is Redemption, even though Parting Ways was the ending I got originally and it made me cry the most. Redemption on the other hand is just so heartbreaking and unfair. Daniel crying in his car was what got me the most, and both of them going their separate ways was even worse. Yeah, I don't like that ending AT ALL.

The fact that every ending is bittersweet is killing me and Sean and Daniel deserved waaaay better. Especially Sean.

    TL;DR: Fuck this game.

[All] Anyone else feel this way?

    Posted: 09 Dec 2019 12:31 PM PST

I feel sad and dejected after finishing watching. (I didn't play but I watched others and then watched scenes on their own). And here are the emotions I have after seeing the ending:

A sense of loss: I don't want to say goodbye to these characters. We won't see how their lives/live (lone wolf ending) continued. I wanted to hear their voices in the end cut scenes. I feel attached to these characters.

It reminds me of when you reach the end of a good book and you don't want to say goodbye.

I have a feeling that they didn't want the ending to be entirely satisfying. That was the intention, that life is a mixed bag.

Dissatisfied: I wanted to see more scenes between characters that we left behind. I wanted to see Brody, Lyla, the grandparents. It honestly could've gone on longer. I know that this game is supposed to be a road trip basically, but I really wanted to stay with some characters more. I heard that Dontnod is planning to do other projects that are not life is strange, so I have a feeling we're not going to get more material with life is strange two.

Curious: I have questions on the endings: I know that they want some of it to be mysterious. But I really want to get some of these questions answered. For example the ankle monitor in the (parting ways), what about extradition, do the government understand Daniel's powers in that ending?

Heartbreak: these characters felt so real to me, the voice acting was so moving. I remember just crying when Sean is talking to Daniel at the border in episode five. That whole exchange, specifically the wine that Sean says "I tried my best… I swear", was just wrenching. The way that he looks so weary and so sad and tired; his voice breaking as he says it in a whisper; it just killed me.

Watching the different endings I do notice a difference between the high morality and the low morality and how Sean talks to Daniel right before you decide. When it's high morality he will say things like "promise me that you will do what's right" vs Low morality where Sean calls Daniel "a fighter".

I know I'm not the only one who felt very moved by the story and the characters. I know that there is a divide between fans whether it's politically or whether it has to do with preferring LiS1 over LiS2, etc, and that's okay. I think having a strong reaction whether it's positive or negative to the story/stories is a sign of good storytelling. Dontnod was able to make many of us invested enough that we feel ownership over these stories/characters.

I think people would be feeling a little bit differently if the game was a stand-alone game itself. I know it is mostly unfair to compare the two games but it's very difficult when they both take place in the same world.

If you read through all of this thank you. (Or as the Internet meme would say "thank you for coming to my Ted talk") lol

[All] Ideas for a Mini series of LiS 2

    Posted: 09 Dec 2019 12:04 PM PST

Spoiler Warning: So I just finished LiS 2 and I am thinking of what a Mini series would contain, here are some suggestions:

    1. A series telling us what happened in the 6 years before the Blood brother ending, like how sean became a mechanic, how life was for them in mexico... Maybe a fight against a cartel, even though I don't want them to suffer anymore.

    2. A series about esteban crossing the US border, Meeting Karen and dealing with some problems of a migrant.

    3. The David series mentioned here in this sub earlier, maybe to connect LiS 1,2 and even teaser a third Part as David seems to be around people with powers quite often.

What do you think a Mini Series could be about?

[NO SPOILERS] Meet the voice actors

    Posted: 09 Dec 2019 06:22 AM PST

With the end of Lis2 I feel a bit of a hole inside. Like when you finish a book/game that's really good and you're all "what now"? It got me really wanting to meet voice actors from the game in person. Would any of you happen to know where one could meet them? My best guess would be at cons but I can't seem to find anything. Maybe it's the time if year? I also live in the middle of nowhere so no matter what I would have to know early to plan a trip. Thought I'd post here to see if you guys knew of anything~

EDIT: Thank you guys for your help! Both the first and second LIS are great and idk why it needs to be such a competition..

[S2 E5] I dont like one of the endings

    Posted: 09 Dec 2019 08:21 AM PST

(Sorry it`s a repost as the old post was deleted due to including spoilers in the title)

I dont like the ending Parting Ways.

After their dad gets shot, their only goal was to reach Puerto Lobos, Sean does everything to protect Daniel on this journey. Then when they finally reach the border in episode 5 end, Daniel says "I dont want to be separated", they even said multiple times before "we will always be together no matter what" but then he still jumps out of the car for no reason. What happened to "wolf brothers for life"? After all this time he just abandons Sean all of a sudden after everything he has done for him and this whole journey to Puerto Lobos then became pointless. And on top of that now the government most likely know that Daniel has powers.

This ending doesn`t make a lot of sense to me and I dont think realisticly Daniel would do that.

    [ALL] Life is Strange 2

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 06:47 PM PST

Hello guys, I just wanted to share my feelings here if anyone wants to hear it because I feel like I might burst if I didn't, thanks for your time if you did.

I've been trying to avoid LIS2 ever since it came out last year to wait until the release of final episode, and it was so worth it. At first, i thought it was just going to be another game about high school and such but when it gravitated and focused on the story of the brothers, I was hooked. Seeing that I am also the elder brother of four little siblings I connected with Sean in a deep and personal level. The sacrifices... and the love he had for his brother is something that means so much to me... and I can't help but cry and feel for him as he and myself made his decisions throughout the game. I am also very happy that I get to end up with Finn, so happy....

I have only been playing the game since last week but looking and thinking back at episode one makes me super nostalgic, and I think I will forever love this season in my heart.

[NO SPOILERS] LIS2 how to not send a message

    Posted: 09 Dec 2019 09:11 AM PST

First of all I am a liberal by european standards so pretty far left on the US spectrum. I think that LIS2 traded too much of the story and characters on sending a verry explicit pro liberal and a bit libertarian political message. While LIS 1 had a liberal vibe it never felt like it traded itself for it.The bad guys feel like stereotypical conservatives as seen by partisan liberals and some members of the supporting cast are supposed to be liked just because of their stereotype because they did not have a perdonality. Some events felt irrational and over the top just to solidify that message. While having a political message is not inherently bad it requires a more nuanced and subtle delivery, which is not single minded, overly simplistic and does not trade the story for it
