    Morning, Strangers! Square Enix has gotten back to us regarding the questions we sent them from the FAQ thread. If your question didn't get answered, sorry! It wasn't really up to us.

    General Information

    A bold new era of the award-winning Life is Strange begins, with an all-new playable lead character and a thrilling mystery to solve!

    Alex Chen has long suppressed her 'curse': the supernatural ability to experience, absorb and manipulate the strong emotions of others, which she sees as blazing, colored auras.

    When her brother dies in a so-called accident, Alex must embrace her volatile power to find the truth – and uncover the dark secrets buried by a small town.

    The game is being developed by Deck Nine Games and published by Square Enix.

    FAQ

    Will there be a physical (boxed) version of the Life is Strange: True Colors Ultimate Edition?

    We are only producing a physical boxed version of the Life is Strange: True Colors Standard Edition.

    The Deluxe Edition and Ultimate Edition are digital price promotion bundles, offering players a way to save on the Deluxe Upgrade and the Life is Strange Remastered Collection by purchasing them together.

    Will there be a Collectors Edition with a bundled album for Life is Strange: True Colors?

    We will not be producing an album-bundled edition of Life is Strange: True Colors.

    The in-game music is intended to be both commercially available and on streaming at release, so you will be able to listen to the soundtrack in the format or streaming service of your choice. Please look forward to future announcements regarding the soundtrack.

    Are there any physical bonus editions available for Life is Strange: True Colors?

    A bonus Steelbook case is available as a retailer pre-order exclusive in some EU countries, find out more at https://www.LifeisStrange.com.

    Will the Life is Strange Remastered Collection games be available separately?

    The Life is Strange Remastered Collection will be available to pre-order and purchase standalone at a later date for Google Stadia, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Life is Strange Remastered Collection plays on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X via backwards compatibility.

    Life is Strange Remastered and Life is Strange: Before the Storm Remastered will not be available for individual purchase. While they will remain separate installs and separate executables, they will be permanently bundled together at the point of purchase as the Life is Strange Remastered Collection, available on PC, PS4/PS5, and Xbox.

    The original, classic versions of each game will remain available for purchase on all platforms.

    Are the Deluxe and Ultimate editions of Life is Strange: True Colors time-limited? Will they be available for purchase after the release of the main game?

    Yes, they will be available for purchase after the release of the main game.

    Neither the Deluxe nor the Ultimate Editions are time-limited, and both will be available in perpetuity.

    The Alex Outfit Pack is only available for free if you pre-order any of the editions ahead of release.

    After the release of the main game, the Alex Outfit Pack will no longer be bundled with all editions – but it will be available to purchase separately.

    Pre-ordering a Life is Strange game will always get you the best deal, but we don't believe in gating pre-order content, should you come to the game after release.

    What are the main benefits of pre-ordering or purchasing each edition?

    The main benefit of pre-ordering any edition is that you get the Alex Outfit Pack of four additional outfits for free.

    If you purchase the Deluxe Edition, you save money on purchasing the Deluxe Upgrade separately. The Deluxe Edition includes entitlement to Steph's story – Life is Strange: Wavelengths, which releases after the main game, and to the Life is Strange Hero Outfit Pack, which offers four additional outfits, themed around Life is Strange heroes from previous games, and which is available Day One.

    If you purchase the Ultimate Edition, you get all the content from the Standard and Deluxe Editions, plus entitlement to the two games in the Life is Strange: Remastered Collection, at a significant saving over buying all three games separately. The Life is Strange Remastered Collection games will also release after Life is Strange: True Colors.

    While you can easily upgrade to the Deluxe Edition from the Standard by purchasing the Deluxe Upgrade, the Ultimate Edition is a price promotion bundle. If you purchase the Deluxe Edition and decide later that you would like to get the Life is Strange Remastered Collection, you will need to purchase the Life is Strange Remastered Collection at full price.

    Why is the game not available in my country?

    Our aim is to have every Life is Strange game available in as many countries as possible, but because some content isn't permitted in some countries due to age rating restrictions, we're unfortunately unable to make the games available everywhere.

    (I assume she was murdered that day considering the bts ep 3 after credit scene)

    [NO SPOILERS] Can't finish Life is Strange 2, really bummed out about it.

    So, I've recently been playing the Life is Strange series from start to finish. I'm on Life is Strange 2, episode 4. As I was putting in the code for episode 5 of Life is Strange 2 (I bought the game on disc) it tells me that the code isn't valid in my region. So I'm assuming it's a UK code or something.

    So I cut my losses and went and bought the last episode. But then it tells me that it can't find my game data, even after installing the digital version of the game that allows you to play episode 1 for free.

    So I'm assuming the game itself isn't a US version (even though I got it from Amazon and it advertised itself as so) and now I'm just out of 28 bucks that I spent on a game that I cannot finish. I'm just super disappointed overall especially with Life is Strange 3 on the horizon.
