    [NO SPOILERS] Chloe Price

[S1] I just saw on youtube how sad Chloe gets if you...

    Posted: 03 Jun 2021 07:23 AM PDT

Let her kill frank and not rewind.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEnujWAj9-w

Seriously, it's harrowing. I almost cried watching the footage, my urge to reach through the screen and give chloe a big bear hug has never been higher. She didn't deserve that at all!

I feel terrible for actually considering letting that outcome stand in my playthrough... I was not a fan of Frank and wanted him to just stop bothering Chloe. Now I'm glad I rewound and chose one of the other outcomes...

    [ALL] Jane t-shirt ?

    Posted: 03 Jun 2021 03:21 AM PDT

We all know the Doe t-shirt that both Max and Chloe wear during the LIS series with a big "Jane" written next to the doe print, but what does it mean? I've been re-playing before the storm and this doubt just came to me, I never really thought about it until now. Does anybody know?

[ALL] Any good fan fiction about Max and Chloe?

    Posted: 02 Jun 2021 02:28 PM PDT

I think it's hard to find a well written fan fiction that doesn't become cringe or over the top.

Do you have some to suggest?

[ALL] Does Rachel have powers? Tell me your theories

    Posted: 02 Jun 2021 03:45 PM PDT

Okay, I've just about finished BTS and I have some serious questions about what is going on with Rachel. There's a lot of weird, maybe symbolic things going on around her. For ex:

    • white streams / smoke looking swirls randomly throughout the chapters when Chloe does something related to Rachel
    • the crazy super-sonic scream Rachel let out before she kicked over the trashcan / how the camera almost slow-motion rumble shakes whenever Rachel is angry almost as if the ground is shaking
    • raining ash that looks so similar to the out-of-season snow Max caused
    • strange allusions to ravens / birds (??? seriously, what's going on with this haha)
    • Chloe's dream in the junkyard where her dad talked about how fire is beautiful/jealous and wants to consume you then Rachel a few minutes later said something similar a few minutes later in a sort of symbolic way about her fondness of people somehow related to burning (I wish I remembered this quote, it was so beautiful)

There's just so much going on here. What do you guys think - does Rachel have powers, or am I just reading into this too much? Part of me thinks she did and when she died it passed onto Max so she could undo / seek vengeance on Jefferson. All theories welcome! (also, if you remember the quote Rachel said in the junkyard about fire, please drop it below - I'm so sad I didn't write it down).

[S2] Approaching the end in LiS2...

    Posted: 02 Jun 2021 12:37 PM PDT

So, I am in ep. 5 of LiS2 and I have just taken my farewells from Away. Daaarn. Very sentimental, Mom and David and the others are all swell guys. I liked meeting and talking to David again! Who would've thought he would become relaxed outback guy with skills? I chose the Bay ending, so Chloe is dead and Joyce still alive. It was sad to hear that they grew apart, but at least they are still friendly with each other. And Nathan seems to have some kind of trial ahead to maybe get released after, hm, four years? I might have to replay this episode with the Bae ending just to see the differences! Also, looking ahead to TC for more small LiS1 reveals.

Anyway, David raised a valid point I was already thinking about. What if Sean just called Agent Flores and turned himself in? It's probably what I would do if I was, well, me (being a white-bread and all and not even living in the US) instead of Sean, and had no kid brother with supernatural abilities. Making Daniel an object of secret service study has not that much appeal (even though, For Science!). But really, a few years down the road, would it indeed be worse than living hidden away? Cannot legally visit family (Mom, grandparents) or friends (Lyla, Chris, people of Away) in the US (not mentioning Cassy here, she's a vagabond and probably wouldn't mind going to Mexico just for fun - also, still less important than Lyla)? I really dunno.

I expect the game will ask me a decision about this not that far ahead. However, Puerto Lobos has a great appeal as the golden grail of freedom, too, and we might even have family there! Also, wolf theme. And I certainly won't do a half-assed solution like getting Daniel over the border and staying behind myself, that would be too hard on him. No, we need to stick together. So I really don't know. I'll just have to see what's coming and decide in the situation...

Mentioning Lyla, I really really hope having a fling with Cassy doesn't make the game limit my contact and talk options with Lyla - if she comes up again. And I sure hope she does! She sounded bad off last time we talked, in ep. 2, but at least her blog (checked at Mom's laptop) sounds upbeat again, that's something.

So, that's me and the 1st half of ep. 5! I already did a post midgame (near the end of ep. 3), but it kinda fell victim to a time shuffel and went unnoticed. Here's a link if you're interested.

[NO SPOILERS] problem running life is strange on my pretty new macbook air :/

    Posted: 02 Jun 2021 11:54 AM PDT

yesterday i bought and downloaded life is strange on steam, but pretty early on i faced some problems

opened fine, and played smooth throughout the lighthouse scene, but when i got to the classroom scene i was unable to drag over to view the photo (one of the first manual actions ☹️)

i tried playing in full screen, windowed mode, changing my mouse sensitivity and playing with a few other settings i thought would help, but the problem persisted. i was wondering if anyone else has played on mac or knows how to fix this problem ?

tl;dr not able to perform any manual actions in episode 1 of life is strange on my macbook air

    [ALL] What's your favorite scene?

    Posted: 02 Jun 2021 01:26 AM PDT

What's your favorite scene/scenes from the games? Could be one scene from one game or one scene from each game. And what about it makes it your favorite?

My favorite scene from LiS is Max and Chloe at the end of Episode one where Max first tells Chloe about her powers. There's something about this scene that feels very pivotal. To me, it really felt like the perfect shift from who they were as kids into who they are now after reconnecting after so much time apart.

My favorite scene from BtS is the scene in Rachel's room at the beginning of Episode 3. The vulnerability and charm of Rachel and Chloe's dynamic really took center stage here. From Chloe making the stars shine for Rachel to the simplicity of laying in each other's company, it was really beautiful.

My favorite scene in LiS2 is Sean and Daniel waking up at the edge of the Grand Canyon. I think it was a nice breather from the craziness that took place before. And it was a nice moment to see how far they've come since leaving Seattle yet still maintaining their brotherly bond.
