[NO SPOILERS] Are Mexican-Americans face this much hate in real life?

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 01:09 PM PST

I live in europe, never been in the U.S., and after playing Lis2 this question came to me. It made me quite angry to see these people hurt Sean and Daniel just because. Are people really that racist on the other side of the pond?

Ps.: Sorry if Mexican-American is not the right word, didnt mean to be rude, just not very familiar with the subject.

[All] Am I the only one that doesn't like the "Parting Ways" Ending?

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 01:13 PM PST

The reason I'm not a fan of the "Parting Ways" ending is because it seems so out of character for Sean and Daniel to part ways how they did. I mean, Sean literally broke out of a hospital whilst still in custody to hike to Nevada and save his brother. And for him to just keep driving to Mexico despite Daniel's please just doesn't seem like him. And for Daniel to just eject himself from the car and tell Sean to go without him just seemed so confusing. Daniel seemed like no matter what, he would always stick by Sean regardless of how he was raised or if he agreed with his decisions or not. I know it sad...but to me the "Redemption Ending" is the best one of them all. It's just so real and powerful yet so heartfelt and sad all in one. It makes you love Sean so much and it undoubtedly gives Daniel the best life he can have. In the Redemption ending, you can definitely tell despite being in prison for 15 years, Sean still kept who he was a person and it still the loving and caring brother he was all those years ago. And Daniel grew up as a fine and happy young man as we saw in the pictures. And for Daniel to comfort Sean when he broke down, it just shows that this journey wasn't for nothing and Daniel turned out to be the best person he can be thanks to Sean. To me, them hiking in the woods where this journey began on better terms, them going in opposite directions but not truly saying goodbye, and them finally starting their lives again without being on the run or in danger seemed like the best way to end this story as it comes full circle. Also apologies if I made an error regarding spoilers with posting this. I usually don't post links on Reddit

[S2] Order locations, starting with your favorite and tell me why

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 11:04 AM PST

One of the features of season 2 that could make everyone agree, are the locations.

We make a ranking starting from the first place to the last. If you like, also explaining why. I have to say, for me, it's very hard to choose. The last location on the leaderboard, it's still gorgeous. But the choice must be made and therefore:

    1) Episode 5. Grand Canyon. Pure nature art indeed. Even the little community "Away" is wonderful to me

    2) Episode 1. The forest and its surroundings. Here I am even more undecided because even the forest of episode 3, with redwoods, made me crazy. For now I put this in second place but, maybe I'll change my mind

    3) Episode 2. Bever Creek and surroundings. Beautiful without a shadow of a doubt. I do not put it at the top of the list just because, of all the locations, it is the one that I could still have in my country, contrary to the other

    4) or 2)? Episode 3. This could be in place of No 2. I'm still undecided. The photography in this episode was magnificent

    5) Episode 4. Nevada. Okay, actually, I find it to have an incredible charm but, having to make the leaderboard, it can't compete with the location of episode 5. So, reluctantly it remains last in the rankings

    I'm curious about your ranking

[S2 E5][S2] Question about DONTNOD's choice in finale...

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 06:41 AM PST

This is a genuine question, it's not a dunk, it's not a told you so, it's just a question I have for a particular kind of LIS 2 enthusiast - people who have been engaged with LIS 2 who have felt very strongly that, no, it did not need to be about Max and Chloe, that no, it didn't need to "honor" the first game, that their story was in fact over and DN gets that and like Brody said, 'that's the past'. I can't even really credit so much as a single specific user to pin that to, but I've had enough conversations in 11 months to know it's a real sentiment, that LIS 2 didn't "owe" any tribute to LIS just to make people happy and that, if anything, it's fans of the original game kind of dragging the whole experience down.

To this audience, my question: do you feel like DONTNOD sold out?

Is there any sense of betrayal or disappointment that, with a year or more put in defending the choice to make LIS 2 an anthology and to consider Max and Chloe a closed book that we are just clinging to for no reason, that DN said "y'know what, let's make about 15-20 minutes worth of the final episode a catch-up on LIS after all"?

I have to say, I think... I think I would feel a little done up by the devs on this one if I had staked out and defended the position that there wasn't a place or a need to fill LIS 2 with nostalgia for LIS.

Now, like I said - not dunking. I hope you don't feel disappointed and I hope you did enjoy what they gave us here even if you were. I would hate to think anyone really enjoyed "Wolves" less because of this content. But it crossed my mind last night that DN kinda pulled the rug out from under that whole argument, and I've got to know if anyone feels kind of let down that DN decided to heed that criticism.

    [NO SPOILERS] LIS soundtrack

    Posted: 08 Dec 2019 09:49 AM PST

I just finished LIS for the third time, and I'm again in love for the soundtrack (expecially "Crosses" and "To All of You"). Can you suggest me other songs/artists/albums similar? I'll appreciate if you have got a Spotify playlist and you can send it. Thanks 👋
