[All] Survey about your post-bae head-canons closes in 12 hours! Last chance to participate.

    Posted: 23 Feb 2020 10:00 AM PST

Three days ago I shared with you my survey asking about "What do you think happened to Max & Chloe after choosing to sacrifice Arcadia Bay? "share on this subreddit in upcoming (hopefully few) days

I would like to thank all of you who already participated, and encourage those who missed the announcement to participate too! Like I said in my post: It is purely anonymous, requires no long writing, no login, can be completed in approx. 5 minutes and it is completely out of my own curiosity.

HERE IS THE LINK TO SURVEY: https://forms.gle/s2rmrHFb1Gdm8gdw8 (Contains spoilers for S1 and all S1 related content in all LiS games)

I am going to close the survey in 12 hours, just after 10pm PST (Seattle time zone, equals to 1am EST or 7:00 CEST). Afterwards I will gather the results and start processing them into some nice, presentable form, which I am going to share on this subreddit in upcomming (hopefully few) days.

[S1][BTS] Did an unlikely source confirm Amberprice canon romance and we missed it?

    Posted: 23 Feb 2020 11:35 AM PST

"They're fucking together in heaven right now, is that what you wanna hear?"

The dialogue may be determinant, but maybe it's implications to the lore are not? Lemme explain.

First, gonna dispel a couple predicates

    1. The way Derek reads this is not with "fucking" being an adjective modifying "together" lie, "they're together in heaven, but with emphasis". "Fucking" is eleventy-hundred percent a verb in the line reading that made it into the game. So, he is absolutely, unequivocally painting a crude picture of Rachel and Chloe sexually involved.
    2. Jefferson as untrustworthy exposition. I generally make the same assumption that society makes such as when we admit people's dying declarations as exceptions to hearsay; roughly equivalent to that, I think "murder I'm going to get away with right now" has that same cache. He has no reason to lie to Max here unless he wanted to be cruel, but (A) overall, he seems pretty regretful that he's going to be murdering her and just making the photographic most of it, and (B) why would this be something he'd think of as cruel to Max? Which is all to say, it's not likely that this is an image that finds its origins in whole cloth, painted in wild guesses for no benefit to someone he is about to kill anyway.

    So what's the point, SoC?

Well, the point is - why would this image even cross Jefferson's mind? As far as he has let on, he only just met Chloe for the first time the prior day. No indication he'd ever even heard of her before. The only thing he could have reasonably inferred about her are from stereotypes of her look, and that she and Max are friends. Nothing in Ep 4 would have even tipped him to Chloe being the one interested in Rachel rather than Max who has been asking around about her.

So where would this answer even come from? When Max calls him out for murdering both girls, why would it even occur to him that they had a romance that could ostensibly be rekindled in the afterlife?

Because Rachel told him about her, that's why.

Think about it - the tropes of a girl involved with, or seeking to be involved with, a sophisticated older man are to try to polish themselves up as more advanced, sophisticated, experienced. We literally see this play out with Victoria. What would be a way for Rachel to seem more mature and accomplished in seeking approval/attraction from Jefferson? Copping to a same-sex relationship certainly comes to mind. Telling him about her, ahem, ex (and I make no fresh accusations in that regard here) to make herself seem fancier, more alluring? 100% plausible.

When he meets Chloe, he may not tip off that he knows of her, but you can very easily read it into his question - "why isn't someone as cool as you going to Blackwell?" He realizes who this must be and that he already knows the loose details. It also would cement why Max and Chloe were in the Dark Room without a need for him to be in four places at once that day - having gone to the room itself to see what they dug out, having gone to the junkyard after them to confirm the remains had been found. He doesn't need to do any of that in his already Very Full Calendar on Oct 10th if he knows who Chloe is to Rachel and what the obvious implication of them having been into and then swiftly left the Dark Room are (for this purpose, I'm assuming his surveillance is video only, as most is).

Taunting Max with an image of Rachel and Chloe having sex as spirits isn't something that should even occur to him as a crude thing to say unless he already had some basis to paint that picture. The best explanation for that is that he knew they were romantically involved at some point from Rachel, trying to elevate her appeal as muse and paramour. That would mean, if we come that far, that unless we're going to consider Rachel an unreliable source, it means that a romantic relationship between Rachel and Chloe is non-determinant canon. How long it lasted, when it started, how it ended, and to what extent exclusivity was kept or respected? No idea. But it was real enough for Rachel to tell Jefferson about it.

[ALL] I just finished Life is Strange 2

    Posted: 23 Feb 2020 01:27 PM PST

I feel reaaaally bad. I had the worst ending, where only 8% of the players had it haha. I don't know what I did wrong, so it's makes me more sad. What an awesome game ! In both Life Is Strange games, I had to question myself so hard, that even some times it made me changed a bit in real life. I'm new in this subreddit of course, so I'm sorry if you have already seen this type of post haha, but I don't want to be alone when finishing a great game :) What ending did you have ? I'm interested to know what would happen when you have a better ending haha

[S1] What visions really meant and why Max & Chloe were so sure at the end

    Posted: 22 Feb 2020 04:50 PM PST

    Hi,

There are various theories about meaning of sequences, visions and storm. As simple my theory is, I haven't seen it posted anywhere else. So...

I think that storm IS result of Max actions. She just connected the dots. Let's see:

    • Every tornado vision appeared before possible Chloe's death. I mean every. Thats the key.

    • It was like warning of universe (?) - okay, you can abuse your powers, but watch out, that will be result.

    • Before "final death", before last choice, Max gets vision called "dream". I'm sorry to say but that wasn't dream. The thing that gave Max powers decided to show her summary of what she did. Those mad people, this sad Kate. They were real. Throwed into dumpster because of Max' actions. You can't just rewind and rewind.

    • With this knowledge, Chloe and Max connected dots and realized what it all means. Last decision was necessary.

I dunno, maybe this is obvious
