[NO SPOILERS] Could anyone tell me if they recognise this song from LIS?

    Posted: 16 Feb 2020 12:04 PM PST

    Hi,

I heard this song the other day and it reminds me of a song in Life is Strange, however I can't put my finger on the song. Any help would be appreciated! I might be completely wrong, but it's bugging me!

I've searched the spotify playlists and on youtube but can't seem to find it!

The song is Angus & Julia Stone - Babylon

[ALL] Just finished Life is Strange

    Posted: 15 Feb 2020 05:11 PM PST

(This is my first official post on reddit so bare with me.)

I'm speechless and heart broken. I've never loved a game so much that has broken my heart like this. I had heard of LiS before but I never really had a desire to play it until last week, where I played the first episode of LiS and was instantly hooked. I then bought the rest of the first season and played it in like 2 days. I also played Before the Storm (including the bonus episode), Captain Spirit, and LiS2. I pretty much played the entire series in less than a week and I don't regret a single thing. The characters, soundtrack, graphics, and storyline are great and overall the game is amazing, beautiful and emotionally impactful. The endings of LiS2 were devastating and some of the saddest in any video game ever. No single ending was right or the happiest or the best. I have a feeling of emptiness in my heart right now that no other game or game series has ever made me feel. I can't wait for LiS3, assuming it ever comes out which I'm pretty sure it will. Thank you for taking the time to read this (I had to get this out immediately after playing the last episode of LiS2) and thank you for the creators of Life is Strange for making such a phenomenal game.

[NO SPOILERS] The future of Life is Strange series

[NO SPOILERS] The future of Life is Strange series

    https://preview.redd.it/6fehj7f2v5h41.jpg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d0cd4e0bed3fd3537dc21e725a936c5757fefe6d

Square Enix latest financial report from February, 5th doesn't mention Life is Strange 2. That possibly means that the game published in the episodic form for almost a year and a half did not meet the publisher's expectations. And it puts a huge question mark over the fate of the whole series.

Originally Life is Strange 2 was a much more ambitious project than its first season and the prequel. The newest version of Unreal Engine 4, comparatively high price, a free-to-play teaser episode The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit — these facts prove that the hopes for the sequel were high. But something went wrong from the very start.

The French developers studio Dontnod stated soon after the prequel's announcement that they see the future of the series as an "anthology" of games with different topics and characters every time. They decided they are capable of building the machine producing great stories and heroes, but the very first set of new characters rose doubt about the success of this plan. Chris (Captain Spirit) and his father may have been up to the high standards set by the name of the series, but most of the Life is Strange 2 dramatis personae seemed boring and flat to a lot of fans from the start.

Life is Strange 2 visuals are often impressive, but that is not enough. Everything else, apart from a few moments, is mediocre at best.

Also, soon after the release of the first episode it turned out Dontnod was unable to keep up to the accustomed release schedule. The time between the episodes rose to 3 or 4 months, and even real fans forgot some details within those period. The official explanation was quality control.

metacritic.com users' score show us how high this quality was.

    Life is Strange 2PlayStation 4 — 5.6Xbox One — 4.7РС — 4.8

    For comparison, Life is Strange: Before the StormPlayStation 4 — 7.7Xbox One — 7.4РС — 8.0

    Life is Strange Season 1PlayStation 4 — 8.6Xbox One — 8.4РС — 8.6

For the first time in Life is Strange series! But it didn't help the game much.

Dontnod bosses are not upset by such score and mixed reviews. In multiple interview they express their desire to expand the planned "anthology of actual problems" further propagandizing their values at the expense of the publisher. But Square Enix prefers to keep silent about a possible sequel. Even on January, 30th the publishers didn't show much interest in the series' development - just a few formal tweets and a contest.

In these circumstances there were rumors that the low sales of the sequel may throw Dontnod back to the 2015 situation, when the studio was inches from sharing the unfortunate fate of Telltale, but the success of the original Life is Strange first episodes helped Dontnod survive. A lot changed since then. Now they have several games under development, contracts with big publishers - everything seems nice and stable. But we cannot exclude the possibility that such development policy may bring back the moment when Dontnod, just like in 2015, can be saved only by Max Caulfield.

Max inside a snowball. Back then it was a nightmare. Now it's almost real.

The fate of the series is not in the French studio's hands, all Life is Strange rights belong to Square Enix, and many fans are very hopeful about the next project from Deck Nine Games. This unannounced game has been in development for at least a year and a half. Everything we know about it can be summed up in a few phrases - it is going to be a narrative AAA-game, "big title", published by Square Enix on Unreal Engine 4. Also words like "adventure title" and "rich, meaningful stories" are mentioned.

Unfortunatelly there is some disturbing news from Deck Nine camp. Last fall the director of Life Is Strange: Before the Storm Chris Floyd left the studio, and not under his own will, it seems, having stated that he had to do things that were against his charater. Chris is a real fan of Life is Strange, and his sudden departure may hint at some change of plans.

    Welcome to Blackhell!

Comic book series, a book, playing cards and lots of other merchandise from this amazing universe make the fans' dreams of another game in the series stronger. "Shut up and take my money!" - this is how many threads at many forums and boards end, there are still discussions and theories, and of course there are confessions of those who open this world to themselves. "I've just finished Life is Strange, and I have a lot to share"...

This montage contains only the latest official art. The publisher doesn't have any more news for us... yet.

[No Spoilers] Question about DLC and Sequel

    Posted: 15 Feb 2020 03:19 PM PST

Me and my gf just finished playing the first game, I was wondering if people thought the DLC or the sequel were worth playing? Granted y'all might be a little biased haha but I was curious to hear some opinions before purchasing

If the DLC/sequel aren't as good as the first game, I'll probably play Telltale's Walking Dead with her
