[No spoilers] Visiting here makes me realize how long it’s been.

I'm a longtime lover of Life is Strange.

I played it as it was originally released, waiting episode by episode to finish the game.

I had never played any game like this before. Never played a game with dialogue options, "this will affect you later," episodic, as it was released, it was so new to me. I never played a game where I had such a hand in how it turned out. It was really one of the first games that truly blew me away, story, graphic, music, and quality wise. It was a very special experience for me. I hold onto this game very dearly.

I was so excited when episode five came out. It took me days, and I played it hours at a time. I was young then, so I vividly remember being impressed I played for five hours solid completing the Nightmare scene. Everyday I can play longer than that standing on my head now, lol.

I remember redoing the ending, just so I could change my answer and see everything. I went back to my favorite option, and cried again. I cried so much. I played it several times, had all the save files filled. I loved seeing what I could do different, and see how many others did what I did. I needed this game at that point in my life.

    I need it now, ha...

I haven't played it since then. I've missed it for years now. I was in such a mood, I came across this sub the other day. This game is very nostalgic for me. Video games have always been an important part of my life, and always will be. Even five years later, this remains one of my all time favorite games I've had the joy of playing. I want to cry just thinking about it, I can't believe that was five years ago.

I have so many memories of this game, scenes and voices burnt in. I know I'll bust out my old PS3 some day and have me a little bit of time travel in my own right.

For now, I've been listening to music from Life is Strange and Before the Storm, which I still haven't finished. Reading here has given me my fill of Arcadia Bay until I can bum around myself. Thank you for reading my 4am ramblings of a love letter to one of my favorite games forever.

[ALL] Before the Storm's post-credit scene should've only happened if you played the game "correctly"

    Posted: 26 Apr 2020 12:10 PM PDT

Before the Storm could've introduced us to a different timeline for Life is Strange 1. That unavoidable post-credit scene just took it all away.

I think everyone is familiar with the infamous heartbreaking post-credit scene for BtS where we see Rachel's phone in the dark room with 17 missed calls from Chloe while camera shutters and flashes in the background. I personally thought it was unnecessary but smart for the devs to sneak that gut-punch last minute.

But god how I wish that post-credit scene would only show up if you: A.) Didn't help Nathan (neither does Samantha) B.) Didn't accept David's offer C.) Told Rachel the truth

Cause if you basically did the opposite of what I listed, everything you've done in this game is completely irrelevant when you play LiS 1. Nathan becomes super unstable, David is a COMPLETE asshole now and he doesn't try as hard compared to this game and Rachel's parents aren't frantically looking or helping Chloe find her after being missing for six months.

Idk, maybe I'm looking into this too much but god dammit small details like these keep me up at night lol

[S2 E2] Watching * dead really make me cry

    Posted: 26 Apr 2020 01:00 AM PDT

When I saw mushroom dead by Daniel really made me cry. Can't believe she's gone.

Edit: I also had to watch the scene twice because my game crashed at the funeral crying

[no spoilers] You should really watch Weathering With You [天気の子] -- it's thematically similar to Life is Strange.

Without spoiling either, the important choices are almost identical. The film has more follow through on those choices than the game. It'll also make you cut a lot of onions... It's a 2019 film from Makoto Shinkai, the director of Your Name [君の名は]. Highly recommended.

[All] Is Chloe Price a bad person?

    Posted: 26 Apr 2020 10:15 AM PDT

She's always blaming other people for her problems. Never sees fault within her.

A hypocrite. Hates people for judging her and invading her privacy, even though she judges all the other people in the game and goes snooping every where.

An anti-gun person, but stole her stepdads gun and lied about it just for fun. Calls out other people for being shady yet she and the people she's with have done their fair share of unlawful activites.

When she's talking with Max in the car. Blaming her mom for Williams death. Blaming Williams for his death. "i gotta blame someone because i don't want to blame myself"

Most disgusting thing ive heard in a long while.

Blaming Max for the weed, what a nice friend. Also giving shit for answering a suicidal friends phone call.

Eggs Max on to use the powers for stupid shit like shooting at cars while knowing it was detrimental to her health.
