[S1] i have just finished the game and it was beautiful

    Posted: 11 Dec 2020 09:00 AM PST

This post will have spoilers. I have just finished the game a couple minutes ago. It was probably the best game i have ever played. I've played the game, well taking out the parts where i was taking breaks or the 4 hours my brother already spent in it, for 18.9 hours. I chose to sacrifice Chloe. I cried. Twice. Once at the ending of the first episode, once at the ending of the last. Only a couple things were done using guides. Those are: saving Kate,Nathans phone pin and the pin for the keypad in the nightmare. And also the maze but that was only for a quarter of it. Sorry if this post was a little random or unnecessary

[All] So, we created a sub for Life is Strange memes...

    Posted: 11 Dec 2020 07:21 AM PST

    Listen up, knobcones.

This is a repost, as I had to change the title.

This is the first and only official announcement that r/lifeissilly, the Life is Strange meme sub, exists. We don't mean to impose our presence on you. If this kind of humor is of no interest to you, then just ignore this message. Its purpose is only so that more people can learn about it being a thing, and decide once and for all whether it's something for them or not.

As you may (or at least should, it's right there in the rules) know, memes are not allowed here on this sub - and probably rightfully so, the games themselves tend to get rather serious and depressing at times. Yet from time to time I see people trying to post such stuff. Don't even bother, just come to us instead.

Now, r/lifeissilly is just a baby of a sub at the moment and as such it currently has a rather small number of users (hence this announcement), no official set of rules, and not much content (yet). We feel like the rules are just one of those things that will evolve with time (and the community). The only thing I can tell you for certain is that we don't support hate speech of any kind, and stuff that is widely considered highly offensive will not be welcomed. Dark humor is ok, as long as you respect the fact that not everybody enjoys it, so the most morbid of jokes should be labeled accordingly (for now they are tagged as spoilers). Also, we have no care for actual spoilers, so for better or for worse, they will not be marked at all.

As for the content itself, the sub is meant to be an archive of LiS memes. That means old, classic stuff is being posted, so if you had followed such content independently, there's a high chance you've already seen most of it. There is some original work, however, and the notion to make more is yet another reason we're trying to expand.

I believe that is all. Now here is a picture of my cat peeking from atop the cupboard to bribe you into upvoting this. I normally wouldn't be asking that for mutual respect reasons, but I want this notice to get to as many people as possible. If you don't feel like giving me anything, then by all means, I encourage you to upvote this, then go to my profile and downvote a random comment or post to maintain the cosmic balance or sth.

Hang in there, people. We may yet make it through 2020. LiS helps.

    Submit any questions below.

[S1 E2] When you got to *this* choice in *that* conversation with Kate, which option did you choose, and why?

    Posted: 11 Dec 2020 11:19 AM PST

I'm referring to the sixth choice in the scene on the roof with Kate. This is the one where your options include two Bible references and "Suicide is a sin."

Not only do I want to know which option you chose, I'm curious to know why you chose that option. Please discuss that in the comments.

P.S. It's okay to admit that you read those passages in a Bible (or electronic equivalent) or you looked up the answer in a guide. This is a very emotional scene and I can understand the motivation for these actions. For those of you who consulted outside help…

    • If you remember which option you were leaning toward before consulting outside help, please pick that one.

    • If you don't remember if you were leaning toward a particular option, or if you had no idea which option to choose, pick the one you eventually chose.

It's also okay to admit replaying the scene in order to get a desired outcome. The game has ways to let you do that. If this applies to you, please select from the options below according to the first time you reached your desired outcome.

[ALL] Do you think Rachel is a stalker?

    Posted: 11 Dec 2020 10:46 AM PST

I've started questioning this when I finished my second replay of BTS. It could be that she just wanted to be friends so bad with her, but she already became ' friends ' fast with many people ( almost effortlessly ) yet she doesn't seem to approach Chloe, only near the end of the semester ( May )

    • The mill - if you try to push through the mosh pit you can see Rachel dancing and it seems like she isn't paying attention to anything. Chloe goes upstairs and when the skeevy guys come, Rachel goes upstairs.
    • School - when Chloe enters the school, Rachel opens the door and says that it's good Chloe's here and brings her in without even asking her if she wanted to come.
    • Train scene - if you pick the ' allergic to cats ' lie, Rachel says how she knows Chloe has a cat because she passed by her locker a FEW times. She could see the picture if she looked at the locker which she did. If you pick the lie ' broke my hand punching someone ' she guesses that Chloe fell from a skateboard, about 5-6 years ago. It could be unlikely but maybe she saw Chloe skate with Justin sometimes. Also, how does she guess all the truths and lies? I don't think she has the power to do that, she could just know alot about Chloe from talking to people or maybe from stalking her.
    • Overlook park - she says ' this game involves SPYING ON PEOPLE FROM AFAR ' and I think she justifies her stalking by saying she ' does ' that in her drama class.
    • Oak tree ( near the end of episode 1 ) - she says how she saw Chloe backtalk the guy at the mill, how she saw her participate/not participate during the fight between Drew and Nathan.

I don't think there are any clues in episodes 2 and 3. Maybe she's more of a stalker than Elliot ( probably not xD ). And also, there are some theories on Rachel and Max being the same person. Max is nosy. What are your opinions?

[BtS] [LiS] just got an idea from previous posts

    Posted: 11 Dec 2020 01:16 PM PST

how would it be, if a game was to be set in after rachel's death, explaining how chloe went deep into shady shit, that led to her shooting? or a game right before her death, to show us their efforts to leave the bay? if not a game, it can be a tv series or a movie and whatever, would be interesting to see what happened between the 2 games.

[NO SPOILERS] Looking for Marshfield fan fiction Recs

    Posted: 11 Dec 2020 10:56 AM PST

I'm new to the community (and Reddit), well I played the 1st game for the first time a few years ago (can't really get into the 2nd or the prequel.. believe me, I tried), and I was wondering if anybody knows any good fan fiction with Max and Kate as a couple. I recently replayed for my second time and fell back in love with Max, Kate and Chloe. I love Chloe, ofc, but the softness of Marshfield is so damn adorable. (Maybe a fic with all three?) If not, perhaps I'll start writing myself!

    Anywho, thanks in advance. o3o

[S1 E5] Price or Bay? What did you pick??

    Posted: 11 Dec 2020 02:19 PM PST

Back with another Life Is Strange Question. Now, it's to do with the 1st game. The end of the game is so emotional! When the choice comes around, what did you pick? Sacrifice Arcadia Bay or Sacrifice Chloe? Save a corrupt town or save your Partner In Crime?🤔🤔🤔🤔

[NO SPOILERS] What would you think?

    Posted: 11 Dec 2020 10:30 AM PST

Do you know something that would be cool? A "Life is Strange" youth as they do in cartoons like "Teen Titans" and "Thundercats", for example.

[ALL] Who is the most complicated/complexed character of LiS/BtS?

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 06:41 PM PST

Personally I think Rachel's the most complicated, considering the differing opinions about her throughout the game and her insecurity over her own self image and self worth that it causes her to wear so many masks to please everyone (including her own parents).

I know the fandom's quite divisive about her though, so who do you think was the most complicated and why?

[S2] Finished episode 2, got the bad ending. Without spoiling, please help me decide if I need to replay to fix it for episodes later

    Posted: 10 Dec 2020 10:24 PM PST

I played Captain Spirit so I'm attached to Chris. Does him getting hit by car significantly impact story later? Can I still get a good ending at end of season 2? Have I destroyed Chris's family's life (tell me just yes or no)? If so, then I guess I'd like to replay it. If I replay, how long do you think it'd take fast forwarding everything? 20 min? Do you think I should replay ep 2?
