    Arguably the two hardest decisions in the game are the one you have to make in the alternate reality, and the one in the end. I wonder if there's any correlation between them -- so far, anecdotal experience suggests there is, but that's just that, anecdotal. So, what did you choose?

    I'm also curious how long each choice took on your first playthrough.

    [S1 E1] [BtS E1] lis episode 1 vs bts episode 1

    ive only played the first episode of before the storm but i feel like its missing part of what makes the first one good. like im not even really thinking story elements like time travel or the overarching plot. but compare how we meet rachel and how we meet chloe. with rachel shes at the same party and saves chloe and we get a small scene of them partying together, and then we wake up. we basically go back to blackwell and by the way i cant even tell if this is before school it feels like chloe has a spare and we are coming in late? it feels really empty even with the events of the black jock bullying nathan and the dnd game be played outside. anyways once we go in then theres a cut scene of us being pulled into the drama room by rachel and apprently we had an awesome night and now we are on a train before we have control of our character, and now we are really close with rachel now but it feels like i never experience chloe become friends with her. but compare that lis 1 episode 1 where you actually start in the class room and the bell rings and you actually see how lively this school is and how your actually playing through that, even if its a walking simulator type game. this feels like a really school where life is going on and we are in the middle of that playing through it. how we actually have that encounter with chloe when playing as max and then hang out with her at her house for a bit before driving you back to the dorm area. basically i think the first game does a better job of that your actually playing through the levels and making it feel like a real event your playing through.

    let me know if what i said sounded really dumb or if anyone agrees. i feel like i have a point but i cant articulate what i like about the first game more.

    [ALL] Both LiS final choices are essentially wrong

    I found a very nice theory about the cause of the storm with a thorough analysis on this sub recently. And I have almost the same theory. I don't want to retell it. It's better to read it by yourself (click the link I mentioned before).

    By comparing all the timelines in LiS, we can find that Nathan's arrest Monday morning (before snowfall) is a key to avoid the storm. It's not Chloe's death. And it's not Max's powers. Max, Warren and Chloe got it wrong. I think Nathan's arrest (after he shot Chloe) interrupted some Sean Prescott's plans and the storm sequence wasn't launched.

    As we can see, both LiS final choices were essentially wrong. There is a way to save Arcadia Bay without sacrificing Chloe. I think exploration of this theory can give us a good "After the Storm" game.

    Hi everyone:D I absolutely love watching Life is Strange let's plays, but at this point I have watched most of the most popular and the most recommended ones, so I wanted to ask if you know of any less famous, but not less good letsplays.

    I prefer if it's done by a male letsplayer, because I'm pretty sure I have already watched all the girls, even the less popular ones:D

    I don't mind if the letsplayer is critical of the game, as long as it's done in good faith, rather than just making fun of it.

    [ALL] TV Couples that will remind you of LiS ships

    I'm not sure if I'm the only one who does this, but after LiS and BtS I've just been finding myself trying to relate other couples to AmberPrice. Recently I finished a show and they had a couple that had similar dynamics to AmberPrice, and I was so goddamn happy because FINALLY AN AMBERPRICE EXCEPT NO ONE DIES!

    And so I thought why not share some TV couples over here so we can project our sad couples who tragically will have trauma one way or another... or die and we'll never see again except in fics, onto other healthier similar couples who have/will (probably) have happy endings :D

    PRICEFIELD:

    • Tully & Kate (platonic best friends - Firefly Lane. English. Series. Netflix).

    Thoughts - Imagine Tully as Rachel and Chloe into one person basically, but kinda more like Chloe in the IDGAF area, while Kate is definitely Max. They're platonic best friends and they consider each other as soulmates. Bear in mind that in their adult lives however, Kate is married while Tully is... figuring it out. However, their relationship is so close that in high school there were rumors that they were lesbians. Also I just really feel immense gay vibes from these two, especially during their high school days lmao it's just rlly big PriceField energy from these 2.

    • Syd & Dina (platonic hints to romantic best friends - I Am Not Okay With This. English. Series. Netflix).

    Thoughts - Syd is 100% basically Chloe except a little socially awkward, while Dina is basically the alternate reality Max except she didn't join the vortex club. There's a hint of Grahamfield for those shippers as well with Syd and Stan (hopelessly crushing on girl, huge dork, awkward etc).

    AMBERPRICE:

    • Casey & Izzie (low key rivals to platonic becomes romantic best friends - Atypical. English. Series. Netflix).

    Thoughts - Attitude and personality wise, Casey is basically Chloe while Izzie is a combination of Rachel and little hint of Victoria, except much more Rachel. Their dynamics is the most similar I've seen to AmberPrice, like really. Like seriously, I LOVE LOVE them. Huge gay moments here y'all I swear. They're amazing. They are the cure for the void in our AmberPrice hearts :') + they also dream of going to LA tgt. Also the actresses just rlly have HUGE chemistry tgt bruh and they're such goddesses like I can't- both of them rlly making me question my sexuality ngl lmfao the whole show in general is just so wholesome.

    • Chiara & Ludovica (platonic best friends - Baby. Italian. Series. Netflix).

    Thoughts - This is a dark underground version of LiS. They're not dating but they gave really huge gay vibes (there's a portion of the fandom that also ships these two lmao). Chiara is basically Rachel in terms of family and popularity while Ludovica is Chloe in terms of being an outcast and deemed as a 'bad influence', but their dynamics is really similar to AmberPrice's platonic relationship. + bonus: they dreamt of escaping their hometown and got tattoos together as well :D

    • Jessie & Angela (platonic hinted romantic best friends - Never Goin' Back. English. Movie. Hulu).

    Thoughts - So imagine if Rachel and Chloe had left Arcadia Bay in BtS and basically became homeless. Yeah. This is them.

    AMBERFIELD:

    • Jean & Sidney (romantic - Gypsy. English. Series. Netflix)

    Thoughts - Imagine Jean as adult Max who becomes a therapist but she literally becomes very nosey. Yes. That's Jean. And then Sidney is basically adult Rachel with her worst traits. Like even the metaphors used to describe her character is very similar to Rachel. Sidney has big Rachel energy.

    CHASEFIELD:

    • Casey & Izzie (platonic becomes romantic best friends - Atypical. English. Season 2 onwards. Series. Netflix).

    Thoughts - While Casey is more like Chloe, she can also be kinda like Max, or at least a confident Max anyways. Izzie starts off as a little bitchy to Casey like Victoria so in a sense they do give off Chasefield vibes as well.

    • Olivia & Amber (platonic hinting to romantic best friends - Get Even. English. Series. Netflix).

    Thoughts - Amber is 100% Victoria. 100%. Olivia is like confident popular Max. Their arcs were very satisfying to watch.

    • Sterling & April (enemies to lovers - Teenage Bounty Hunters. English. Series. Netflix).

    Thoughts - April is 100% Victoria as well. Sterling is like confident Max. The funny thing about them is that they're actually Christians and attend a Christian school where sex is such a taboo subject, so just imagine the confusion lmao the whole show just has a lot of shenanigans in general.

    MULTISHIP COUPLES (couples that fall into two or more ship dynamics):

    • Ellie & Aster (platonic hinting to romantic - The Half of It. English. Movie. Netflix) [AmberPrice, Amberfield]

    Thoughts - Aster is like Rachel in terms of popularity and self identity issues, while Ellie is a combination of Max and Chloe. Really cute.

    • Kate & Emaline (enemies to platonic to romantic - Everything Sucks. English. Series. Netflix) [Amberfield, AmberPrice, Chasefield, ChasePrice]

    Thoughts - Kate is like a combination of Max (personality) and Chloe (family) while Emaline is essentially Rachel but a huge bitch like in classic Victoria Chase fashion. Like rlly. She's into theatre, is called perfect by Kate, flirty, abandonment issues— like Rachel, but also basically neurotic like Victoria lmao this was really wholesome tho. The show's also set in Oregon so it has LiS vibes to it.

    • Eve & Maze (platonic LOWKEY romantic - Lucifer. English. Season 4. Series. Netflix) [Chasemarsh, Pricechase]

    Thoughts - Eve, sweet Eve is like sweet Kate. And Maze. Oh Maze. Well she's more like Chloe in terms of how hellish she is in general, but when she's with Eve she melts just like Victoria would :)

    • Cheryl & Toni (platonic to romantic - Riverdale. English. Season 2. Series. Netflix) [AmberChase, ChasePrice]

    Thoughts - As much as I hate Riverdale, the only thing that makes me snoop around some time is just because of their ship. Cheryl is obviously Victoria while Toni can either be Chloe or Rachel in terms of attitude.

    COUPLES THAT DON'T REALLY FIT INTO ANY LIS SHIP BUT DESERVE A SPOT:

    • Brittany & Santana (full on romantic - Glee. English. Series. Netflix)

    Thoughts: Brittany is... no one in LiS, but Santana's definitely similar to Victoria.

    • Max & Sophie (romantic - Ginny & Georgia. English. Series. Netflix)

    Thoughts: Max is... hmm closest to Chloe in terms of being a useless lesbian while Sophie is Rachel in terms of popularity, or maybe Dana makes more sense.

    • Jules & Rue (platonic to romantic best friends - Euphoria. English. Series. HBO)

    Thoughts: Jules isn't really anyone in LiS tbh, maybe like Dana in terms of personality?? but Rue is most similar to Chloe, especially with the addiction. If it's purely addiction then she's also similar to Rachel in that aspect. Their relationship can be considered to be similar to AmberPrice if you perceive them to have been co-dependent with each other however.

    • Andréa & Colette (romantic - Call My Agent. French. Series. Netflix)

    Thoughts: So they're both adults here. Andrea's closest to probably Chloe or Rachel in the aspect of having commitment issues or falling in love with the wrong person. Colette is most similar to probably Kate out of all the characters— innocent, cute, new to the game etc. it's also a very wholesome relationship between these 2.

    It may sound harsh but it really is my personal opinion, I loved the first Life is Strange for many reasons but I did not like Life is Strange 2 at all, I perfectly understand that it is a new story, in fact it is logical that it is a new story, but it does not have the essence of the first game at all... It is evident that Dontnod wanted to do something completely new, that includes new ways of telling the story, but that is not what the public wanted and asked for, I think that Dontnod has been unintelligent in that sense, Life is Strange 2 does not even have mysteries or a villain! even the romances in Life is Strange 2 are wrong, it's a waste that Sean can't have an romance with Lyla... Sorry, I've tried but I don't like Life is Strange 2, it's a bad game for me, on the other hand I really liked Before the Storm from Deck Nine, it's not as good as Life is Strange 1 but it's very good game, in my opinion Square Enix should take the Life is Strange license from Dontnod and give it to Deck nine
