[NO SPOILERS] Who is more of a Manic Pixie Dream Girl? Posted: 18 Feb 2021 01:11 PM PST Repost, because some people simply misunderstood the term of a Manic Pixie Dream Girl, and accidentally voted Rachel. The definition of an MPDG is:
So, out of those 5, who fits this definition the most? [link] [comments]

[All] LiS before the storm Chloe's and Rachel's plan Posted: 18 Feb 2021 02:34 AM PST In before the Strom Chloe and Rachel are almost runed away from Arcadia Bay (if they had not talked about Rachel's mother). What do you think would have happened if they really got away. Where would they live and for how long? I don't think they would stay at one place. And what would Max have done? Would she had asked for Chloe in Arcadia Bay or had she hadn't contacted her at all? And if she had contacted Chloe, how would Chloe react? (sorry if my English is bad) [link] [comments]

[S1] I just finished the game for the first time and was so disappointed with the ending Posted: 17 Feb 2021 04:45 PM PST While re-reading I realized I was completely ranting. You're warned lmao. So this is a video game. The point of video games is that the player is an actor. It's the case here too, with all the choices the player makes as Max. But at the end, a storm comes out of nowhere, with shitty explanations (the whole "it happened because of Max using her power" seems like bullshit when the game begins with the vision of the storm) to push the player to cancel all of his actions since he took control of the character. And somehow, every problem that required the player intervention is actually fixed if he doesn't get involved (notably Kate's suicide and the Dark Room). Every action made by the player is cancelled, as if he had never played that game, and worse things are better because of it. It almost feels like a finger to the player. I mean, wtf. So I of course saved Chloe, because I'm not playing a game about choices and consequences in order to have all of my actions erased at the end of the game. The worse is I don't even really like Chloe. I also knew about that final choice, between the town and Chloe, because of how long I took to actually play the game. So I was always ready to sacrifice Chloe but damn, I had no idea it would be under such shitty circumstances. So I sacrificed the people I actually liked (Warren, Samuel, Juliet, Kate) in order to save the one I didn't. Pretty ironic. [link] [comments]
[S1] How to make the Dark Room more terrifying Posted: 17 Feb 2021 08:19 AM PST Had to change the title. The gist is making Jefferson more of a horrible monster. While Jeffershit is still a horrible monster. me and my friend came up with ways that would've made Jefferson more twisted and evil
Jefferson would show them all to Max. Something that could've made Jefferson more insidious is to place the evidence in plain sight. In Blackwell. Throughout the game, you see pictures of the junkyard in various places around the school. A very specific area of the junkyard. Not the body itself, obviously, but the place where Rachel's body is buried. Where would this be buried you ask? behind Jefferson's desk in his classroom. There would be more photos as clues to the junkyard and the Dark Room placed in Blackwell. I'd also have one on the bulletin board, with the implication being that Jefferson is bragging about how he got away with it in plain sight of everybody on campus. If you examined all these photos or not. We will get a breaking the 4th wall moment with Jefferson. If you examined the photos. Jefferson will say this. "You saw it but you didn't see it. So tell me something, Max. Was it because you honestly didn't know, or that you didn't want to know?" If you didn't examine the photos. "The answer was so close. But you just didn't see. What does that say about you, Max? That you're so stupid that you couldn't spot what was right under your nose? Or that you were so desperate for my approval that you forced yourself not to?" And the best part? He took these clue pictures in the style of Nathan's photography as one final means to frame him. Mark Jefferson would truly be a wolf in sheep's clothing [link] [comments] |
