[BtS] Am I the only one who thinks this way?

    Posted: 25 Jun 2021 01:20 AM PDT

Am I the only one who thought the romance between Chloe and Rachel was too soon and didn't make sense? I mean in the choice between Friendship or more, I chose friendship because they just met each other and chloe shouldn't easily believe that the popular girl of school, suddenly wanna hangout with her. but in the internet it looks like everyone chose more than friendship and kissed Rachel later. The romance between Max and Chloe is way more acceptable because of the back story they have together and what happens between them in that week but I don't undrastand why everyone accept Chloe and Rachel's love. what's your opinion? wich one did you choose?

[ALL] What is it about these games that grabs at your heart?

    Posted: 24 Jun 2021 11:23 PM PDT

This might've been discussed in this sub before, but I'm relatively new here so I'd love to hear about what others have to say.

After reading others play Life is Strange, Before the Storm, and/or Life is Strange 2, there's always this sort of feeling that comes after playing one or more of these games for the first time. A sort of impact that hits you and really sticks with you. Resonates with you. It's a sort of high that you feel after completing something that really matters to you. Something that holds your attention and your love.

It seems to be a common trend with these games that they impact people in such a specific and beautiful way. I might just sound crazy and may be rambling into the void, but I really am curious. What is it about these games that hold onto you and stick with you long after the credits finish rolling?

[ALL] A certain stigma about the Life is Strange games

    Posted: 24 Jun 2021 07:29 PM PDT

It kinda annoys me that a lot of people just seem to see the Life is Strange games as just "depression sims". I was watching a fairly popular steamer that I enjoy & someone brought up if they should buy Life is Strange: True Colors on the Switch.

The streamer then went on a long rant about the series stating that the games are only made for depressed people & said other things that basically watered it down to his audience as just sad simulator that tries too hard to be deep. He even went on to mock Zack Garriss's (from DeckNine games) narration of True Colors at the first Square Enix Presents and said his tone of voice perfectly summarizes the franchise. I wanted to type and say something objective but his chat seemed to be agreeing with him & mocking it as well so there was no point. The funny thing is this person has stated they've only played Episode 1 of Life is Strange 1 & stopped playing after the bathroom scene of Nathan shooting Chloe which immediately made me not take him serious at all with anything he was saying.

Point is, I find it moronic that people look at the series in that light. These games have good stories, characters, music, etc and while they can get sad I fail to see that as the main thing it's sometimes generalized as from people that have barely or even never played them.

[ALL] 'Settling Dust' will end Max & Chloe's comic story in Sept.

    Posted: 24 Jun 2021 07:59 AM PDT

It looks like our worst fears were right... the comic ends for Max & Chloe in Sept, presumably right after they get together, and apparently the comic continues without them. https://www.gamesradar.com/uk/life-is-strange-settling-dust-comic-will-be-a-heart-wrenching-goodbye-to-max-and-chloe/
