    I finished the game two days ago (Currently replaying it again) and I've been in such a weird state of mind. I can relate to Sean so much and the game hits close to home. Being a big brother and having a younger one, willing to do anything for him,having family issues (Soon moving away from a parent with the other parent), changing gauzes for three years already (Messed up situation but oh well), being gay and so many other things. I can't process that the game is over and having gotten the worst ending (Where Sean dies) idk i feel like crying and i feel hella numb. I will be buying the Collectors Edition tomorrow and since i already have the game i will be giving it away on this subreddit (Hopefully that's allowed?) so someone that doesn't own the game can experience this beautiful journey. Will be posting giveaway details tomorrow. Thank you for this amazing subreddit, for this amazing game and for the amazing fans ❤️

    [All] Why 'Burning the Midnight Oil' from BtS is better than a lot of real life songs

    When I first heard the song while playing BtS (the dream where Chloe talked to her dad).... it was just amazing, and so peaceful and relaxing, imagine listening to the song while walking through Arcadia Bay... the verses are very well put together, and the rhythm too, and the song makes you tear up a little, and the part where Chloe sang a little bit of it.... it's just too much for me, this game is amazing and it makes me want to move to Garibaldi, Oregon.

    [ALL] Looking for a particular Victoria/Max fanfic, can anyone please help me out?

    The basic premise was that it was several years after the events of the game. Victoria was, I believe, an art dealer at this point in a major city. Max was a photographer. Pretty sure Chloe was dead and Max tried to save her a ton but eventually gave up. It was a really, really well written, somewhat angsty slow burn romance with themes of PTSD. Victoria was still written as an ice queen too (so many times these fics start off with her already melted). For the life of me I can't find it. I thought it was on Archive Of Our Own but I've been searching forever and it's nowhere to be found.

    sorry this isn't a great description, but I'd appreciate anyone who can point me in the right direction

    [ALL] Why Before The Storm's Arcadia Bay is the perfect place to live in

    Recently played Before The Storm, and geez man.... the town of Arcadia Bay appears so peaceful and perfect.... students playing Dungeons and Dragons at Blackwell... peaceful streets, cool houses (I mean you're right close to nature)... the town is next to the sea.... and of course Chloe's room, the perfect place to live.... ah.... Chloe.... the most perfect person to ever live....

    [No Spoilers] Episode 5 error after downloading

    Hello all,

    I finally got around to downloading episode 5 today (after installing an update). When i started it up i noticed that a bunch of the journal entries and inventory items simply said <missing string table entry>. Some of my previous choices had changed as well from what i could see in the journal entries. This is really bothersome and is frustrating knowing i won't be able to gain insight from Sean's journal entries.

    Has anyone else encountered this? Is there a way to fix it?

    Its been a month since the game was released, i figured any bugs would have been fixed by now. Google searches also reveal this has been an issue since Episode 4 and that the company was mace aware of it. If this is really how little Square Enix cares about their paying customers, then I'll be sure to refrain from purchasing any of their games in the future. I'm beyond frustrated. I was very much looking forward to competing this game.

    Any help is very much appreciated. Thank you.

    [No Spoilers] My town sucks, I want to move to Garibaldi, Oregon (real life Arcadia Bay)

    It's the dream town to be honest. It's close to nature, and to the sea, it has amazing restaurants (including the real life Two Whales Diner), a party place called 'The Old Mill' (wonder if Firewalk plays there) and even a junkyard next to the train tracks where you can hang out with Chloes and stuff. How is my town you may ask? Well it's basically an ugly little town in the middle of nowhere, it's full of junk and there's nothing to do. How can I move to Garibaldi? I guess I have to finish school first, but high school starts next year for me...

    [NO SPOILERS] Why AmberPriceField would be imo weird.

    Am I the only one who thinks this would be weird? I ship both AmberPrice and PriceField (AmberPrice a bit more) and I think both these ships are hella amazing and exactly what Chloe needed.

    However, AmberPriceField would be a no-go. I hear a lot of people who imagine a perfect world with Chloe, Max and Rachel being alive and being friends with each other. I have even heard from some poeple that they would be having some sort of 3-way relationship.

    First of all I think the jealousy would be trough the roof. And that goes for Rachel as well as Max and who knows, Chloe. Second thing; even without the jealousy I doubt Max would like Rachel and if Rachel would like Max. I honestly love BOTH of them. And yeah, what do people expect? A relationship with all 3 of them? Lol.

    [ALL] Why are Victoria's BLANKS BLANK?

    Okay, so in S2E5 if you picked the BAE ending for S1, when you're rooting through David's stuff you find the letter from Victoria pictured here. It includes the following text:

    "I'm still in Seattle, looking over my parents' gallery. Their partner Jessica is great, she's taking care of everything. The will is a mess, but I will be okay. "

    Why are Victoria's parents dead?

    The implication is they died in the storm but why would they have been in Arcadia Bay? For a moment I thought maybe Vic wanted them to see her win the EH contest, but the winner of that was unveiled at a Vortex Club Party, which is just about the last place she would want her parents to be.

    Are we supposed to infer that they actually live in Arcadia Bay but the gallery is in Seattle? That doesn't jive with anything we know about Victoria and seems really dumb and impractical. I don't like to stereotype anybody, but business owners typically live where their business is, especially in a field as personality-and-networking-driven as art space.

    It's not dated, so I suppose it's possible they died for some reason unrelated to the storm between then and now, but that's seems a really random thing for DN to include.
