[ALL] Accidently lost game progress xbox one life is strange 2

    Posted: 11 Jan 2020 02:01 PM PST

When I went to play the game in collectors mode after finishing the game I now lost my game progress. I can't go to any chapters in episode 5 and not some in 4. Is there any way I can get my progress back?

[ALL] 'Life is Strange 2' Overall Opinions

    Posted: 10 Jan 2020 05:10 PM PST

I loved the beginning of LiS2, until that was lost and replaced by hollow features.

    1) No Overall Developing Plot: This is my biggest problem with the game. There was little to no overall developing plot in this game. The basic goal was established in Episode 1, and didn't really grow, change or develop over the game. Perhaps the only addition to it was finding the PO Box in Episode 2, which wasn't even an aim of the brothers. Everything else that happened in the episodes was random obstacles that had nothing to do with an overall developing plot. (3/10)

    2) a) Side Characters are Wasted: Side characters are met, and pretty much as soon as you connect with them you lose them. Any potential meaning and development for these characters is lost, probably forever. Especially characters such a Lyla, which were much loved but also had little time on screen. (6.5/10 overall, but 8.7/10 for great potential if developed).

    2) b) Main Characters are Bland: The main characters of Sean and Daniel are bland and boring.

Sean is just average. Goes to parties, but doesn't like them. A bit athletic, a bit arty. Not unpopular, but not popular. Not totally single, but not in a relationship. A nice guy, but gets angry. I wouldn't say he has a unique interesting character. Max had plenty of interesting phrases and views; Sean just says what you'd expect. (6.5/10)

Daniel is just an average boy. Vastly less interesting than Chloe, and you kind of need one of main characters to be interesting. Also means there's a lack of an ongoing mature character Sean can express himself with, making the game more childish. (3.5/10)

    3) World building: There's not enough to fully realize any place. Places like Beaver Creek and Haven Point seem barely explored. (5/10)

    4) Weak Player Choice Agency: The choices seem to be quite weak and meaningless. In LiS1 you can work towards saving a life, decide the future of someone's employment and get them kicked out of their home, just to name a few. To me the choices in LiS2 just seem lackluster. (5/10)

    5) No Player Power: This was a selling point of LiS1, and added a little extra to every point of the game. This doesn't really exist in a meaningful sense in LiS2. (4/10)

    Overall: (6.7/10)

These are major elements which made LiS1 what it was, and they are needlessly abandoned. In my opinion a road trip was fundamentally a bad to continue the franchise after LiS1. It required that major elements be lost, and if that's the aim, and you don't want to continue the elements of LiS1, what's the point of continuing the franchise.

The road trip could have been made to work as a continuation of LiS1, but that wasn't attempted.

I'm just done. I could barely be bothered to write this. Couldn't be bothered to write a plot, or develop side characters. Good characters are thrown away, and the main characters aren't even as interesting as the side characters.

But lets have babysitting through a forest simulator. Add some modern politics and apparently plot and characters don't matter.

LiS2 isn't a continuation of what was begun with Life is Strange. It's a separate thing which abandons major elements of LiS.

    What do you think?
