    [NO SPOILERS] Why I Believe The Remastered Trailer Is An Outdated Build

    My theory is that the trailer we saw is an old build, and I have some evidence that could point towards that.

    1. Other presentations at E3 were old beta builds, like Dying Light. "Dying Light team did a "new" interview where you could tell it was outdated right off the bat. They had one of the Devs talking about the game, and in the backdrop you could see "Dying Light 2" branding behind him. Except the game is now called Dying Light 2: Stay Human... they had the old logo behind him. They didn't even mention "Stay Human" at all which is something they've done in every "new" info dump since. Which means it was filmed at the very least 2-3 weeks ago prior to the game officially getting the Stay Human tagline and updating their branding." Thank you to user EchoBay for catching this!!!
    2. The original trailer we saw at the March Square Enix presentation where True Colors and the Remastered Collection got unveiled uses the same models we saw in the screenshots, so it isn't photoshop. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRHWRmD58U8
    3. If you compare the remastered screenshots to the new trailer, you can see that they fixed Rachels earring so that it wasn't backwards, which is something they would have to fix via modeling

    In conclusion, I think that they were going to unveil the Remastered collection at E3 last year, but couldn't due to it getting canceled, so they decided to start their own Nintendo Direct style thing, and decided to get new footage. And because Square Enix did not officially join the E3 2021 lineup until April 20th, I believe they decided to just reuse the E3 footage they got instead of refilming the entire segment.
    Take this with a grain of salt but this is just my take

    Early this year (and a bit of last year) I was surprised they haven't remastered or bought the game to switch.

    So I thought they would remaster the original and put the old version on switch first.

    I'm so happy it's coming to the switch even though I own it on all other consoles! Being able to play on trips will be amazing! :).

    for life is strange my favourite is definitely mt washington by local natives, the cutscene at the end of episode 2 with that song is what made me realise that this was my favourite game i had ever played.

    honourable mentions are crosses, obstacles, piano fire & spanish sahara, although i will never hear spanish sahara being played in my game as i always choose the bae ending.

    for before the storm my favourite is no care by daughter, the opening scene of episode 2 with this song was amazing, and probably my favourite scene of the game.

    honourable mentions are black flies from farewell, dreams of william, through the cellar door & youth.

    As part of my MSc dissertation, I am currently investigating the influence Twitch live-streamers have as Key Opinion Leaders on the sales of narrative-heavy video games (AKA story driven video games) such as Life Is Strange, Until Dawn and The Dark Pictures Anthology!

    You may have wondered why anyone would purchase video games if they can just watch the full gameplay being streamed online. That is part of what I am hoping to uncover through this study, and I would greatly appreciate your help!
